I am very excited for the publication of Flor y Canto, tercera ddición. As someone who works in the music ministry of our parish, Flor y Canto I & II have already been valuable evangelistic tools. It gives me great joy to know that the new edition will feature music collections published in recent years, so our congregation can sing the music that they enjoy with more confidence.
Since the new Flor y Canto III will be ready for the upcoming changes in the Roman Missal with the addition of new Masses and music parts. We will have more options to share with our bilingual assembly as well!

When I started directing choirs and Hispanic groups, I used to use various books and resources to get a variety of music for the Mass. Living in a multicultural city, it wasn't easy to get material that would be easily adapted to this diversity. I was able to obtain a copy of Flor y Canto and it really helped me organize and expand the repertoire of the Spanish choir. When Flor y Canto II was released, I immediately brought it back to the choir and bought the accompaniment book for all the musicians. Since then, I have depended on Flor y Canto II to maintain a diverse repertoire, with different rhythms and styles that lend themselves to different liturgical seasons of the year.
Now that the third edition of Flor y Canto is available, I'm sure I can count on the best of Spanish liturgical music to continue building our parish repertoire. Due to the good reputation OCP has deservedly earned, there is no doubt that we will purchase this new resource.
