OCP in the Community
OCP is a company known for its unparalleled leadership in music and worship, along with an unwavering commitment to serving you, the church and the local and global community.
Our Parish Grants, Martin Luther King Day and Christmas Giving programs are just a few examples of OCP’s dedication to service.
Parish Grants
Annually, the OCP Parish Grant is usually fortunate to award many parishes throughout the United States more than a total of $100,000 of assistance. Since the inception of the program in 2001, more than 500 churches in total have been awarded over $1,000,000. Parishes in every diocese in the country have received benefits.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Several years ago, when Martin Luther King Day was added to the OCP list of company holidays, we started a tradition of doing a service project in the community on that day. In 2006, approximately 20 employees and family members did painting, framing floors, closets and doors, and cleanup at a Habitat For Humanity construction sight in SE Portland.
A year ago, we partnered with Caritas Housing Initiatives, a division of Catholic Charities. Caritas Housing Initiatives builds and rehabilitates housing units for low-income families, seniors and disabled residents. OCP employees gave their time to work at two different sites — Kateri Park, a 50-unit project in inner Southeast Portland, and St. Vincent de Paul Plaza, a residence for seniors and people with disabilities. Tasks included washing down walls, cleanup of the grounds, painting, and stripping and waxing floors.
Recent projects include collecting toiletries and school supplies for Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
Christmas Giving
Each year, OCP‚s Christmas Giving Committee focuses on finding charities in need of extra help around the holidays. In 2007, OCP employees contributed their time and resources in the following ways:
- Purchased gifts for 40 individuals, brightening Christmas for three families and many young people through New Avenues for Youth
- Provided $450 in cash gifts raised through soda can recycling, baked goods sales and individual donations
- Collected a total of 4,893 pounds of food for the Oregon Food Bank, enough to feed approximately 300 people for 3 to 5 days
