Pastoral Press publishes resources that promote the renewal of Christian worship according to liturgical tradition and to the principles set forth in documents of the Second Vatican Council, as well as subsequent official liturgical and catechetical guidelines.
We are currently seeking manuscripts of outstanding works for practical, popular, pastoral, professional and scholarly markets, especially liturgy-related resources. We publish works for both English- and Spanish-speaking ministers, church members, professors, students and children.
English-language works should be consistent with The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, and The Chicago Manual of Style: The Essential Guide for Writers, Editors and Publishers, Fourteenth Edition.
In order to be considered for publication, a proposal must be submitted by hand or mail (rather than by e-mail or fax) and include the following:
- A cover letter that includes a statement of purpose, description of intended purchasers and possible market plan
- An outline of the entire work
- At least one complete chapter in manuscript form
