Who is eligible for an OCP Parish Grant?

Any Roman Catholic parish in the United States may apply for an OCP Parish Grant. The only restriction is that the purpose be linked to liturgy/music.

A parish does not have to use an OCP worship program to qualify for a grant. We regret that valuable ministries such as campus, youth or prison ministry and religious communities, such as monasteries, convents or seminaries, are not eligible for this program. For what purposes can the grant be used?

The only restriction is that the purpose be linked to liturgy/music. Many communities have used their grant to build or improve multicultural ministries, including training and worship materials in support of bilingual liturgies.

Others uses include purchase or repair of musical instruments and equipment; attendance at or hosting of music/liturgy conferences or workshops; facility maintenance and improvements; music, hymnals and other worship materials; and online tools and other electronic resources in support of liturgy preparation.

When can I apply for an OCP Parish Grant?

Applications (in downloadable and online formats) for the OCP grants are posted on our website in March of each year. Applications may be submitted between April 1 and June 30 of each year.

How may I submit my application for a Parish Grant?

You may submit your application by mail, fax or through our website. Please mail applications to: OCP PARISH GRANTS, 5536 NE Hassalo, Portland OR 97213.

If you prefer, you may fax your application to 1-866-235-4311. Starting April 1 of each year, you may submit your application online.

When do you announce the grant recipients?

Recipients of the grants are announced each year in March. Use the links on the sidebar to view recipients for each year.

If our parish receives a grant, may we apply again the following year?

Parishes that receive a grant less than $5,000 may apply again the following year. We ask that recipients of grants of $5,000 or more wait one year before applying again.
