Prayer in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament (Part 1)

Let us recall for a moment the words we hear at the end of Mass, the celebration of Eucharist: “The Mass is ended, go in peace” or, we are told, “Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.” We are given this command each time we attend Mass. It is so familiar to us we may not always realize the significance of these words. Most people follow these missioning words by going forth to be of loving service to God and the human body of Christ, to be Eucharist to each other.
