Val Parker is a musician, composer and arranger. In addition to composing, he has worked for 15 years as a parish musician, nine of those as director of music at St. Isabel Catholic Church in Sanibel, Florida.

Val accompanies OCP composer Grayson Warren Brown at various workshops and conventions around the country. He has recorded with Grayson Warren Brown and Paul Inwood. He received his undergraduate degree in church music and his graduate degree in composition from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina.

Val now makes his home in Atlanta. He is director of music at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Atlanta and assistant director of the jazz orchestra at Clark-Atlanta University.
