Mary Frances gives us the inside story to Misa Santa Fe. How does this setting engage parishioners at Mass?
Music directors and composers are co-responsible in providing music that assists our assemblies in song. In RCIA, catechists are encouraged to "walk to the rhythm and at the same pace" as the catechized. Hopefully the rhythm and pace of this Mass setting will provide a good resource for parish choirs and their assemblies.

What was your inspiration for Misa Santa Fe?
Carmen Florez-Mansi, Director of Music/Liturgy at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, provided the inspiration to complete the Mass to be introduced for the Cuarto Centenario Celebrations in 2010. With the Cathedral Basilica and Santa Fe both celebrating 400 years of history, Carmen titled the Mass "Misa Santa Fe." « Hide
