Christopher give us the inside story to Missa Magis. How does this setting engage parishioners at Mass?
The setting, as I envisaged it, could function anywhere on the spectrum between communities with minimal resources (cantor, keyboardist or guitarist, and assembly) and those with more generous resources that may include a choir and extra instrumentalists.

What was your inspiration for Missa Magis?
The genesis of this setting was a "call for scores" at the time of the preparations for World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney, Australia. The World Youth Day organizers sought settings of the new translation of the Ordinary of the Mass to be used at the final Eucharist to be celebrated by Pope Benedict XVI. « Hide
