Turn Your Heart to Me

Many of the Oosterhuis texts are a thesaurus of biblical references, with different verses echoing parts of Exodus, Isaiah, the Psalms or the Book of Revelation. Tony's translations explore the doubts and uncertainties of faith as well as the joys.

Oosterhuis chose specific composers for his poems. Oomen and Huijbers have very different styles, but their music is equally down to earth and thought provoking. There are songs in the collection for Sundays and special events that will challenge and inspire any assembly. There are arrangements for two-part and SATB choirs as well as for piano or organ, and all have strong parts for the assembly.
