Evoking the most important cultural symbols of "our Caribbean homeland," composers from the Archdiocese of Miami created this collection of songs and villancicos ("carols"). The 12 songs convey - delicately but joyfully - the meaning and value of the Nativity for all the faithful. The songbook includes pastoral notes for each song, written by Rev. Juan J. Sosa, with helpful and inspiring commentary on the song texts and practical direction for musicians and choir directors.

As Father Sosa puts it, "To Bethlehem we all go to celebrate the gift of God, who became one of us in order to show us the way of happiness and peace. In the Bethlehem of our songs, we discover Jesus as the Sun who lights our way." Includes songs for use in liturgies throughout the season of Christmas.
