In this music, Hermana Glenda offers encouragement and consolation to the faithful on earth, living in exile from our heavenly homeland, longing for the presence of our loving God. The title — "I thirst for you" — comes from Psalm 42/43, in which the poet compares the soul's yearning for union with God to the longing of a thirsty deer for water. As St. Augustine put it, "Our hearts are restless until we rest in thee, O God." Based on the psalms, these 12 songs — sung entirely in Spanish — are a balm and a joy, a musical remedy from a sister who knows, who shares our restlessness on this pilgrimage.

Unlike her other collections, Tengo Sed de Ti features the accompaniment of a full symphony orchestra, including strings and winds. It makes a grand setting for the ancient poetry of the psalms, and a fitting complement to the melodious voice and gentle guitar of Hermana Glenda.

She pauses sometimes at the beginning of a song to speak directly to the listener, sharing her thoughts on the meaning of the psalm, preparing our hearts to meditate on the Scripture and to receive whatever teaching God may have to offer through it. As she explains in the liner notes, these songs are designed and performed to serve as background and inspiration for prayer "at anytime of the day." Don't be surprised if, every time you hear it, you feel inspired.
