Created with the intention of "breaking the silence of the assembly," this collection invites full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy. Featuring the rhythms of traditional Andean music, Las Canciones de la Asamblea offers beautifully written Mass parts, a generous selection of music for Marian celebrations and a total of 29 songs for throughout the liturgical year.

Drawn from his long and colorful career as a songwriter, missionary and social activist (1964 - present), the songs in this collection form an anthology of the music of Juan Antonio Espinosa.

Many songs feature inspiring, original texts by the composer, Rafael de Andrés and José Luis Blanco Vega. The songbook includes helpful notes and commentaries for each song.
