“Bring Me a Rose” is highly symbolic, lending itself well to many sensitive and reflective moments. Speaking of both love and pain, it touches on the dimension of struggle that is so much a part of life. Though it was written especially for the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper, “In Memory of Jesus” is also appropriate for use throughout the year. This Communion hymn is quite versatile in that it can be done brightly and energetically on festive occasions or more gently when the mood is reflective.
