A native and current resident of Medford, Massachusetts, Peter has been conducting choirs for more than 35 years. He earned degrees in Music, Philosophy and Theology at the University of Lowell and Notre Dame University.

Peter has conducted church choirs in Massachusetts and Maryland. For 10 years he served as the director of Worship and Music for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More recently, Peter served as the liturgical choir director at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and Saint Bonaventure University in western New York state, where he also filled the role of vocal coach for the college a cappella groups.
Peter has been a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus and Men's Choirs in Washington, D.C. and Buffalo, NY. He has sung under the batons of Arthur Fiedler, Margaret Hawkins, Lukas Foss, JoAnn Falletta and Robert Shaw. At present, Peter is teaching high school in Medford, Massachusetts.
Nationally recognized for his work in liturgical renewal, Peter leads workshops on liturgical preparation in the parish.
