Born in Colima, Mexico, Heliodoro Lucatero was ordained a priest in the Diocese of Spokane, Washington. He furthered his studies in theology at the Catholic University in Lovaina, Belgium. Heliodoro was president of the Hispanic National Institute of Liturgy between 1997 and 2001. His workshops are directed toward areas such as basic liturgical formation and the active particpation of the assembly. One of his great contributions was the workshop "Formation of Ministers" for the Archdiocese of Portland and the Diocese of Yakima. At present he is working on his doctorate in Liturgical Studies at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
