Keenly aware of the Church's evolving needs, Paulist Father Ricky Manalo created This Holy Light, his latest and strongest collection to date. Covering every season of the year, from Advent to Easter and beyond, these 12 new songs help to spread Christ's holy light in our world.

Settings for moments with little or no music previously available
Among many unique offerings here, "The Proclamation of the Birth of Christ" is the only known setting (outside the Sacramentary) of the Gospel reading for Christmas Midnight Mass. "He Is Risen!" is a refreshing new contemporary setting of "Jesus Christ Is Risen Today."

Music for Holy Thursday, Christmas and more
Other highlights include "Faith, Hope and Love," a brilliant new setting for the Washing of the Feet on Holy Thursday. Designed to provide 10-30 minutes of music (depending on the length of the rite), it's actually three songs in one, each section connecting harmonically and thematically with the others.

Contemporary, Jewish chant, choral, Taizé and other styles
Musically, this is Ricky's most diverse collection, with styles ranging from contemporary and Jewish chant to cathedral choral and Taizé. There's even a children's Easter song with Asian stylings ("Springtime Is Blossoming") and a Communion song with an easy-to-sing refrain in Filipino.
