The OCP family of composers and authors includes many of the best-known, most beloved liturgical composers, contemporary songwriters, authors and event presenters in the Church today. Hailing from all parts of the world, from England, Canada and Spain to Australia, Latin America and the U.S., they combine decades of pastoral ministry experience with incredible artistic gifts.
Janèt Sullivan Whitaker (pronounced Janette) is a talented cantor, keyboardist, percussionist, composer and clinician. She has presented workshops on cantor dynamics, lector formation, parish repertoire, song of the assembly and keyboard improvisation. She is a 25-year veteran of active music ministry in the Diocese of Oakland, California.
Julie has been playing guitar, singing and writing songs most of her life. When she married and had children, she thought she’d have to give up her music. God had other plans. She now has six albums of inspired, original Christian music. She is an active member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Salem, Oregon.
One of the best-known and most influential composers of Catholic music for liturgy in the English-speaking world, Dan Schutte's compositions have found wide use in Protestant communities and have been translated into many other languages. Dan is composer-in-residence at the University of San Francisco. He continues to compose new music, write about spirituality and speak at events worldwide.
Jesuit Father Bob Fabing is an internationally known liturgical music composer, author and presenter on the topics of psychology and spirituality. He has given concert tours and presentations in Japan, China, India, Africa, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Russia and Poland, as well as throughout the United States. He is also the founder of the Jesuit Institute for Family Life Network, which includes 44 marriage counseling and family therapy centers in California and Oregon.
