Randall DeBruyn is a composer, arranger, pianist, music editor, music director, and currently executive editor of English-language missals and hymnals at OCP. He is also the associate director of artist relations and product development for OCP's English-language liturgical publications. Randy studied music at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and graduated with a doctor of musical arts in composition and theory at the University of Illinois, Champaign, in 1975. He is currently editor of OCP's English-language missals and of several major OCP hymnals (Journeysongs, Second Edition, and Glory & Praise, Second Edition). In addition to composing a number of OCP octavos and collections (Choral Descants, Come & Praise the Lord, Traditional Choral Praise and The Passion According to St. John), Randy has also written several original scores for the internationally known religious dramas and films of actor Leonardo Defillippis (St. Francis, St. Maximillian Kolbe and St. John of the Cross). His most recent chamber works include two piano quintets. He has worked on staff at OCP since 1981. |
