Gerard Chiusano started in music ministry at the age of 10. His involvement in pastoral music continued throughout his formative years. He studied music composition and keyboard in the college prep program at the Julliard School in New York, graduating with honors and receiving an honorary scholarship. Jerry continued his studies in composition at the Mannes College of Music and Manhattan School of Music, both in New York City.

As a director of music ministry, he has served parishes in the Archdiocese of Newark, New Jersey, as well as in the Diocese of Paterson, New Jersey. Jerry has given workshops both for the Archdiocese of Newark and for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. He is currently the pastoral associate for music ministry at Our Lady of the Holy Angels Community in the Diocese of Paterson, New Jersey.
