Oliver Douberly has served parishes in Alabama and Virginia and was assistant musical director and accompanist for the Virginia Choral Society. He was a featured organ recitalist at the Third International Congress for Roman Catholic Musicians in Rome, Italy. He also founded the Oklahoma City Archdiocesan Chorale.

Oliver taught extensively for the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM). The former program director of the NPM Choir Director Institute, he still serves on the faculty of the NPM Organ Schools. Oliver studied under Sue Seid-Martin at the Eastman School of Music and has a master’s in music from the University of Oklahoma. After completing his doctor of musical arts degree at Oklahoma, he was awarded an organ fellowship at Washington Cathedral.

He is the author of the Pastoral Press book Choir Director Basics.

Currently Oliver is director of music and organist at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Oklahoma City.
