Bio

Fr. Duy Thien is a popular Vietnamese Catholic composer. He was born in 1947 at Nghi Son Villlage, Phat Diem in northern Vietnam and ordained priest in 1976 at 27 years old. As a priest, he served the parish of Dat Hua (Promised Land) in Ha Tien in the Mekong Delta for 13 years before moving to the parish Dai Duc Me Tan Hiep in the Kien Giang Province (also in the Mekong Delta), where he served 30 years. Fr. Thien is now retired. His beautiful Catholic songs are featured in OCP’s Intercultural Music Series.
