Bio

Athenas is a Latin Grammy nominated Catholic singer from Argentina. She has performed in 20 countries, in more than 150 cities in Latin America, the United States and Europe.

Her album Alfa y Omega was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Spanish Christian Album in 2022. Her YouTube videos have reached more than 250 million views combined and her YouTube channel is in the top 10 of female Argentine singers.

When Athenas was only 10 years old, she won the popular children’s singing reality show Cantaniño on Argentina’s biggest TV channel, Telefe. She was chosen along with four other children to form a band which was featured on the biggest media outlets in Argentina, recorded several albums and toured throughout the country and abroad.

After finding her vocation to worship music in the Church, she began her solo career with producer Jonatan Narvaez in 2012. With her YouTube videos, she quickly became well known within the new wave of contemporary Catholic music.

In 2013, Athenas performed at World Youth Day in Brazil, on one of the main stages in front of over 2 million people. The following year, she released her debut album, Cristo Reina (2014), followed by Me Basta Tu Gracia (2016), both of which were produced with Jonatan Narvaez.

In addition to these albums, Athenas has worked with her husband Tobías Buteler and Francesco Mazza to record Catholic prayers including the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and the Via Crucis; they have also released 130 sung psalms in seven volumes.

In 2018, thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, she self-released her third album, Todo Es Tuyo, which she composed with her husband Tobías. She has since composed all her songs with him.

In 2021, she released the Latin Grammy-nominated Alfa y Omega, which includes the songs "Acaso No Estoy Yo Aquí,” “Glorioso Rey en la Cruz,” and “El Cielo Para Ti,” the end credits song for the movie about the Sacred Heart, Corazón Ardiente.

In May 2022 she released “Samaritana,” her first single in collaboration with Via Cantus, and in December of that year she released her first Christmas EP, “Navidad es Jesús,” featuring classic carols.
