  East Bay native Janèt Sullivan Whitaker is an internationally renowned composer of music for the Catholic Church. Oakland's Cathedral of Christ the Light will host a concert of her original works.

  She will perform her well-known songs, including In Every Age, and Here at this Table, which originated in the parishes of Oakland and are now internationally known. In this concert, Whitaker will be joined by combined parish choirs from throughout the Oakland Diocese under the direction of Mark Sullivan.
