Magnificat

Comprising three movements — O Gracious Light, Magnificat, and Nunc Dimittis — Schulz-Widmar’s piece, scored for SATB and organ, is a beautiful, ethereal choice for choral vespers. O Gracious Light begins slowly and tranquilly, with women alone, adding vocal texture and movement as it progresses. The Magnificat has a more stately flavor, and the Nunc Dimittis a solemn one. Both feature unison choirs which blossom into harmony.
