Song of Farewell

This new musical setting of the Song of Farewell will provide comfort to those who are mourning the loss of their loved one. The text, from the Order of Christian Funerals, is laid out in a very clear way, punctuated by the music for the rite, set simply for two-part choir on the verses with an assembly-friendly response. The final antiphon, for use as the casket is led in procession from the church, can be extended by using the companion octavo “May the Angles Lead You Home,” ed. 30151223 (also by Hart and LaRosa).
