Tom Booth began composing music at an early age. When he was 17, he encountered the love of God in a personal and mystical way. His life's focus and his music changed forever. Since then, Tom has been on a journey of faith. Along the way, he went to college, majoring in music and religious studies, and got involved in parish ministry. Focusing primarily on youth ministry and liturgy, Tom has spent years helping young people and families discover God's love through music and worship. He has traveled extensively, sharing this same powerful love through song, story and prayer. An incredibly gifted composer and musician, Tom has written songs that are known throughout the country. He has collaborated with many popular Christian artists, including Kathy Troccoli, Rich Mullins and Amy Grant. Both his solo projects and his collaborations have garnered numerous Dove, Unity and Grammy awards and nominations. Tom has composed and performed songs for Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II. Whether performing at a papal event or in an intimate parish setting, Tom has the same ministerial goal: to share the good news of Jesus Christ in a truly authentic and artistic manner. Among those he counts as partners in ministry are LIFETEEN, The Franciscan University at Steubenville, the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM), and John Michael Talbot and the Brothers and Sisters of Charity. He has served as music director for the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC). Presently, Tom is touring with friend and mentor John Michael Talbot, and performing concerts, workshops and missions on his own. He produces recordings for other artists and is a member of the Artists & Repertoire team at spiritandsong.com. Tom's continuing work with spiritandsong.com promises to bring new recordings, concerts and other events. Tom resides in Arizona, where he and his wife, Tammy, are happily raising three wonderful children. |
