Modeled after the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, the Walking the Sacred Path book and CD-set challenge us to engage the gospel stories with both heart and mind through a simple, step-by-step process:

• Questions designed to fully immerse the reader into the Scripture

• Sacred song suggestions for each exercise

Build a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
Written in a language that is both welcoming and accessible, these exercises are centered around using the simplicity of contemplation as a way to build a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Incorporate prayer into daily life
Dan's music has helped enhance the prayer experience for people around the world. With this in mind, each exercise is followed by a suggested piece of music from his extensive collection. These songs can be used as a way to calm the soul, a reminder throughout the day, or not at all. Whichever the reader chooses, the goal remains the same: to slowly incorporate prayer into the rest of our everyday lives.

Enter into the Scripture
When using the exercises in the book and music from the CDs together, as Dan explains, the listener is able to use "the power of imagination to enter into the story of Jesus as presented in the Scripture. We allow ourselves to become one of the people in the Bible story, to see, hear, smell, taste and respond to what is going on."
