Maria Nieva

Bio

Maria has been the Director of Liturgy and Music at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Shrine in Lindenwold, New Jersey, for almost 30 years. She received a bachelor of arts degree in piano performance from the University of the Philippines, professional development in piano pedagogy and conducting from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey, and a master’s degree in theology and ministry from Lasalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is extremely grateful to share her music with the community, bringing diversity and openness to cross-cultural music in the sung prayer of the Church. Her compositions include “Kapayapaan, Peace Be with You.”
