Bio

Anna is a professional singer, songwriter, music director, and workshop presenter for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. She has worked in various bilingual communities as music director, choral director and singer in the parishes of southern California. Anna has more than 30 years of experience working with various choirs including youth, children's, adult, contemporary, traditional choirs, and also a choir of bells.

She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she studied voice and music theory, and where she also worked as assistant director of Liturgy and Music. At the archdiocesan level, she has served as a music committee member, deanery representative and a member of the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress Liturgy Committee.

Anna's voice is heard on over 50 recordings, including recordings by Jaime Cortez, Bob Hurd, and Eleazar Cortez. Her first solo collection, Te Doy Gracias, features 12 popular contemporary Spanish and bilingual songs. Her collection Tomaré Mi Cruz presents inspiring songs for liturgy, worship groups or retreats. Her music is also featured in the upcoming collection, Novena a la Virgen de Guadalupe/Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe.

She has been a speaker and presenter at various conferences and workshops on music and liturgy.

She currently works as Music Director at Saint Polycarp Catholic Church in the Diocese of Orange and also as Director of the Hispanic Choir at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Los Angeles. She resides in La Mirada with her husband Mike, and their two children, Matthew and Samuel.
