This challenging a cappella setting of Isaiah’s text is scored for SSAATTBB choir. The composer alternates between a homophonic and polyphonic texture, and sets the natural syllabic stress of the text beautifully. Implied tonal shifts and dissonant intervals make this piece ideal for an advanced church or collegiate choir.
