A Canticle for Communion: O Taste and See

A Canticle for Communion: O Taste and See

As indicated by the title, this non-verbatim setting of Psalm 34 is not intended as a responsorial psalm but rather as a communion song; it has an assembly-friendly refrain and seven verses, the final of which is a doxology. Choirs with strong tenor and bass sections will enjoy the TBB settings of two of the verses; otherwise the setting is for SATB choir with optional keyboard accompaniment. A setting of Psalm 34 perfect for the Eucharistic procession. Lush choral writing for the choir is skillfully interwoven with an engaging melody for the assembly.
