As the music director for St. Ann’s parish in Coppell, Texas, Curtis
Stephan’s music ministry can be characterized as one of service. A lifelong
musician, Curtis received his Bachelor’s degree in music and his master’s
degree in Jazz studies from the University of North Texas. This engaging
composer and worship leader works tirelessly to serve the body of Christ,
both nationally and internationally, through his inspiring music and
spirit-filled workshop presentations.
Specializing in both Liturgical and youth-oriented events, Curtis brings his dynamic presentation style to conferences both large and small. Among many events, his faith-filled journey has included three World Youth Day celebrations, The Living Global Rosary held in the Cotton Bowl—which he directed—and a special Papal event for youth in Turin, Italy.
Having committed his life to serving the Gospel through music, Curtis—a 2006 Unity Award winner—has recorded three albums with spiritandsong.com, Through the Storm, Sacred Revolution and the contemporary Advent/Christmas CD, Born to Us. He has also composed theme songs for the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) and the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress Youth Day. His most recent composition, Mass of Renewal (a new Mass setting for the new Roman Missal–) is already a Diocesan favorite across the U.S.
Strong roots in parish life and ministry combined with his many faith-filled experiences and education let Curtis share something very special with each community he visits. Whether he is helping musicians to develop their skills through, composing/arranging, directing, recording or solo instrument seminars; inspiring young hearts through concerts and prayerful events; or renewing faith through workshops based on the New Roman Missal, Curtis’s ultimate goal is to serve each parish he is invited to by helping them finding their own voice to lift up to our God in praise.
Curtis currently lives in Frisco, Texas with his wife and two sons and is available for concerts, workshops, new Roman Missal presentations and youth events.
